Vero Pass is a Chrome extension for the staff of Vero Global Solutions. It signs them in to the company's own accounts on outside platforms (for example property and booking tools) without showing them the passwords. It works only for people the company has given a Vero portal login.
What it uses
- The company's logins (usernames, passwords and authenticator codes for the company's accounts). They're stored encrypted on Vero's servers and sent to the extension only at the moment it signs in on that platform's own website. The extension never stores them.
- The address of the page you're on, only to recognise the company's platforms and to make sure a login is only ever typed into the real site.
- A connection key for your Chrome, kept on your computer, so Vero knows which person's access to use.
- The Google account your Chrome profile is signed in to (its email address), sent to Vero when the extension is connected, so it offers only the platforms the company uses in that profile.
What's recorded
Each sign-in (who, which platform, which site and when) is recorded for the company's records and shown to the company owner.
What it doesn't do
- It doesn't read, collect or send anything else from the pages you visit.
- It doesn't track your browsing, show ads or share anything with anyone outside the company.
- It doesn't sell or transfer any data.
